Leave it to NFL Network to add more smoke to the Browns proverbial smokescreen of who they will take at No.1 case in point, Wyoming QB Josh Allen.

Call it case of it being the proverbial silly season, but if reports out of Cleveland per NFLN are to be believed, it may be time to pre-order a No.17 Allen jersey.

a strapping and rugged 6’4 and 245 pounds, the former Cowboy quarterback has perhaps the best arm out of all QB’s in the entire draft, and has been linked to the Browns since new general manager John Dorsey came to Cleveland.

With a private workout scheduled for Thursday in addition to all of the rumors linking Allen to The Land, it just time for something real to emerge from amidst all the pre-draft smoke.

Yes, his 56.2 completion accuracy is a huge red flag that may either cause him to drop–most likely no further than five to the Denver Broncos, at best–but you can’t teach his type of size, arm strength, mobility and touch.

Cleveland has a long and sorry past of passing on potentially great QB’s for various reasons, and in looking at Allen, you cannot help but see a combination of both Big Ben and Philip Rivers.

Big comparisons, I know, but Allen has some of their qualities in terms of size and toughness, that some in Cleveland can’t help but be intrigued by.

One more thing that Allen has going for him over the likes of California-bred QB’s in USC’s Sam Darnold and UCLA’s Josh Rosen is that he has played In inclement weather conditions out in Laramie, which is sure to weigh in big, especially in playing in snowy, windy and cold Cleveland winters.

Do you buy the buzz and rumors? Do we inhale the vape smoke coming from Berea?

We shall see.
