The Golden State Warriors survive the Sacramento Kings, to take the first round series in seven games.

Much was made about the effort of the Warriors in game six, as the Kings dominated. With a quick turnaround between games, many NBA fans and certain players believed that fatigue was going to become a factor.

Surprisingly enough, it was not the Warriors. It happened in the third quarter as the Kings struggled to rebound, defend, and make shots. Golden State got plenty of opportunities on second and even third opportunities.

Also, fouls began to add up for the Kings. The Warriors though struggled to make free throws. Klay Thompson did make the biggest one right before the end of the third quarter after being fouled on a made three. A four point play turned the lead from six to 10 with Golden State getting the basketball to start the fourth quarter.

Stephen Curry was outstanding in the second half and finished with 50 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and only committed one turnover. Kevon Looney dominated the glass with 21 rebounds including 10 offensive, he also outrebounded the Kings by himself in the third quarter.

Looney also added 11 points and four assists. More importantly for the Warriors only seven turnovers were committed.

Leading the way for the Kings was Domantas Sabonis who went for 22 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and two blocks. De’Aaron Fox finished with 16 points, six assists yet ended up turning the ball over five times and got himself in foul trouble, picking up his fourth foul in the third quarter. Malik Monk and Terence Davis added 14 points each yet combined to shoot nine for 25 from the field including six of 18 from beyond the arc.

Sacramento definitely impressed, and it was great for their fans to see that this team is definitely one to watch. Golden State moves on to face the Los Angeles Lakers and has home-court advantage with game one on Tuesday at the Chase Center.
