According to reports, investigators are examining claims that illicit funds may have been routed through various business entities, including television production companies, betting platforms, and the English football club Hull City. These claims form part of an international narrative reportedly shared among law enforcement agencies.
Within Turkey, Yontunç was briefly taken into custody as part of a domestic investigation and subsequently released under judicial control. No court ruling has established wrongdoing by Ilıcalı or Yontunç related to international allegations.
