Week 12 of the NFL season will have the battle of the birds. The Arizona Cardinals will be flying to the South East, as they will be playing the Atlanta Falcons. The Cardinals come off a 30-24 loss on the road against the Minnesota Vikings. The Falcons are coming off a bye week, but prior to that they suffered a loss on the road in Philadelphia against the Eagles.

The Cardinals are a roller coaster type of team. Some weeks they look so good. Other weeks they look so bad. As a result, the club is sitting below .500 with a 4-5-1 record. Carson Palmer can look so good at times, and other times he is throwing an interception on every other drive. David Johnson is the one player who almost always seems to be a consistent positive for the club. So they are ultimately a very unpredictable team. One thing I do feel positive saying about them this week is they will be able to put some points on the board.

The Falcons may have the best quarterback to wide receiver combo in the entire NFL (aside from Derek Carr and Amari Cooper). The club consistently puts up points, and have had plenty of success this season. Their 6-4 record places them atop the NFC South division at the moment. Now their defense leaves plenty to be desired, and it is the team’s Achilles heel. Palmer should be able to have his way with them, but that doesn’t mean the Falcons won’t come out on top. They have allowed plenty of teams to score big points, but at the end of the day, they still come out on top. I look for more of the same this week, and Matt Ryan and Julio Jones should have themselves a nice day.
