The Atlanta Falcons and Buffalo Bills are set to face off in a big NFL Week 4 matchup for both teams. Atlanta is coming into this week with a perfect 3-0 record, while the Bills have been a bit of a surprise so far this year and hold a 2-1 record. Buffalo is hoping to prove once again that they are a team to watch, especially after knocking off the Denver Broncos last week in impressive fashion.
Matt Ryan and the Falcons’ offense are once again among the top units in the league. They boast a top-notch aerial attack with one of the NFL’s best wide receivers in Julio Jones, while also having a two-headed beast in the backfield in Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman. Atlanta was more focused on the pass last season, but the ground game has actually been more effective this season early on.
Tyrod Taylor and the Buffalo offense has had some inconsistency issues over the past year. He looked great last week against a tough Denver defense, although the Bills will need a heavy dose of LeSean McCoy this week to have a chance at knocking off the Falcons. Buffalo’s defense is an underrated unit as well, with quite a few playmakers on the roster.
All of that being said, what bold predictions can be made for this week’s matchup between the Falcons and Bills?
Devonta Foreman and Tevin Coleman Pair for 150 Yards, Three Touchdowns
Atlanta’s ground game will be a major key for them this week against the Bills. Foreman and Coleman will be leaned on heavily and they will end up combing for 150 yards and three touchdowns. They will help take pressure off of the Falcons’ passing game, which could lead to a few big plays to Jones and the other receivers.
LeSean McCoy Matches the Atlanta Run Production
That’s right, LeSean McCoy will break out of his small slump in a big way. McCoy will match the Falcons’ 150 yards and three touchdown output. Against a tough Atlanta defense that won’t be easy, but the Bills are going to need to lean heavily on him with the secondary that the Falcons have put together.
Atlanta Forces Three Turnovers
Whether the turnovers come by way of a Taylor interception or a fumble, the Falcons’ defense will play a key role in this game. They looked extremely strong against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers and will do so again this week. Atlanta will force three turnovers this game to put the Bills in a tough spot.
The Atlanta Falcons Will Beat the Bills by at Least 14
Despite the big game from McCoy, the Falcons are by far the better football team. Ryan and the Falcons will come out strong and will end up defeating the Bills by at least 14 points.
