There ain’t a whole lotta bands out there makin’ noise like Bordertown & Co. “Backroad King” came out swingin’ this week, and it’s a muddy-booted, guitar-slingin, barstool-bustin banger built for cranking loud and hittin’ the gas.
From the jump, this track ain’t playin’ polite. It rips like a tailgate speaker on full blast — dirty riffs, swampy stomp, and vocals that come in hot like a shot of something questionable. Ain’t no filter, ain’t no fluff. Just grit, groove, and a little bit of that hell-yeah attitude, the good stuff’s always got.
And the video? Just tight shots of the band doin’ what they do best. The kind of setup that makes you feel like you’re standin’ right there with ‘em in some backwoods bar, three beers deep, shoutin’ along to the chorus ‘cause it just feels that true.

“Backroad King” ain’t chasin’ rock or country trends or tryin’ to fit into someone else’s mold. This is blue-collar rock ‘n’ roll for folks who know how to get lost on purpose. It’s for the ones who find peace in the middle of nowhere and know exactly how loud the night can get when the band’s on fire and nobody’s watchin’ the clock.
If this is the sound comin’ outta Illinois these days, y’all better keep your ears pointed north — because Bordertown & Co. ain’t just playin’ shows, they’re claimin’ territory.
