The MLB Playoffs will have four games taking place on Friday with the NLDS and ALDS in full swing. After two American League games on Thursday to open the Divisional round, all eight teams will be in action. The second game of the day will see game two of the American League Divisional Series, and it pits the Boston Red Sox against the Cleveland Indians.

Game one of the series was a very entertaining game that saw the Indians come out on top 5-4. The Indians struck for three runs in the third inning off Boston starter Rick Porcello. Jason Kipnis had a big game, with three hits and two runs batted in. Both shortstop Francisco Lindor and catcher Roberto Perez hit home runs in Game 1.

One final note is Terry Francona, the manager of the Indians, brought his closer Andrew Miller into the game in the fifth inning during Game 1. Miller ended up going two innings and struck out four batters, in what were six vital outs in this game.

The Indians will look to take a two to nothing edge before heading to Boston. It will be a game that features two solid starters, with the Indians’ representative on the mound being the former Cy Young winner, and 18 game winner this year, Corey Kluber. Kluber and his 3.14 ERA will look to keep the Red Sox off the board, before turning things over to Miller and Cody Allen in the bullpen.

For the Red Sox, 17 game winner David Price takes the rubber. Price has been labeled a pitcher who cannot perform in the big game so that he will be given a chance at redemption. This game is huge for the Sox, as a loss sends them home down two games and on the verge of elimination. A win, however, evens the series and puts the Red Sox in a position to go home and clinch it at home.
