Thanks to an improbable tournament run, it appears that Andy Enfield will be heading from the Gulf Coast to the West Coast.

According to multiple media reports, the University of Southern California Trojans have lured him away from the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles. His new deal at USC is rumored to be six years and worth a little over $1 million a season.

During the Eagles amazing run in March Madness, Enfield took the 15-seeded Eagles to the Sweet 16 and gain national attention. He will now attempt to bring his high-flying “Dunk City” up-tempo offense to USC, and inject the down-trodden Trojan basketball program that has been among the worst in the Pac-12, over the last two seasons.

While at Gulf Coast, Enfield’s Eagles defeated Miami in the regular season and would upset No.2 Georgetown and San Diego State before losing to in-state rival Florida.

  1. No long-term success only 13 games over .500 in two seasons, under .500 in his first season and one great run. When he fails at USC the only thing he can claim is that he chose to go to the school for the pay raise.
