2019 NFL Week One Recap: San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers opened their season with a 31-17 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Interestingly enough it was the defense that stepped up for the struggling offense. The 49ers intercepted Jameis Winston three times with two being returned for touchdowns. Dee Ford recorded a strip sack,  Ronald Blair recovered a fumble,  Nick Bosa and Arik Armstead also recorded a sack. Bosa's pressure of Winston late in the fourth caused the game sealing interception that Ahkello Witherspoon returned for a touchdown. The defense

NFL Rumors: Josh Gordon Interested In The 49ers

The Cleveland Browns patience with wide receiver Josh Gordon has come to an end. It now seems that either a trade or his release is inevitable.  Reports are indicating that the San Francisco 49ers are a team of interest. Which makes sense for Gordon and the 49ers. Head coach Kyle Shanahan has a previous relationship with the receiver and was the  offensive coordinator in Cleveland in 2014.  Of course any

San Francisco 49ers: Offensive Preview – The Kyle Shanahan Way

The San Francisco 49ers and Kyle Shanahan are currently depicting the definition of rebuilding, and after having to experience the struggle last year, it only makes sense. Last year the Niners had one of the worst teams in the NFL, ranking almost dead last in total offense (ranked 31st), which made the rebuild easier to be done, than said. The Niners cut Colin Kaepernick, between off the field issues, and

San Francisco 49ers: Offensive Player Spotlight – RB Carlos Hyde

I am not going to lie; this was difficult for me, after losing Colin Kaepernick, as well as losing Torrey Smith and Quinton Patton, there were not a lot of players left to look forward to this year. Until a clip of Carlos Hyde came across my screen and realizing that, he was the majority of the San Francisco 49ers offensive production. After starting only 13 games, he had almost

San Francisco 49ers: Breakout Candidate – LB Reuben Foster

When thinking about the linebackers that San Francisco 49ers have recently had, Patrick Willis, Charles Haley, Fred Dean, and Navarro Bowman, it only makes sense that Reuben Foster was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers. With all of those names as aforementioned, Foster is coming in to fill some big shoes. Yet, after being such a dominant force in college, and being the defensive leader of The Alabama Crimson Tide,

San Francisco 49ers: Defensive Spotlight Player – DE Solomon Thomas

The San Francisco 49ers were last in the NFL defensive rankings, and almost last against the rush, which John Lynch and the front office decided to make a change now, and that was by drafting Solomon Thomas with the third pick of the NFL Draft. Thomas will be a huge help as the defensive lineman from Stanford was an All American and an All PAC-12 dominant force, and was a

San Francisco 49ers: Three Questions Heading into Training Camp

The San Francisco 49ers cleaned house following a dreadful 2-14 campaign. They jettisoned GM Trent Baalke, head coach Chip Kelly, and the entire quarterback room. As they enter 2017 with their fourth head coach in four years, they are a team in transition. With
