According to media reports, Oregon State Beavers head coach Mike Riley has been named new head coach of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Riley, 93-80 in 14 seasons in Corvallis, went 5-7 this past year, replaces Bo Pelini, who went 9-3.

Colorado State Rams head coach, Jim McElwain agreed to a six-year contract worth $3.5 million a year to become the new head coach of the Florida Gators.  Florida agreed to the Rams $7.5 million buyout clause in agreeing to pay Colorado State $3 million over the next six years, host the Rams in Gainesville in 2017-20, with a $2 million payout as well as McElwain paying Colorado State $2 million, per USA Today.

McElwain, 52, went 22-16 in three seasons at Colorado State and 10-2 with the Rams this past season. A former offensive coordinator of SEC rival Alabama, McElwain’s two national titles and knowledge of the SEC made him Florida’s main target in replacing the much-maligned Will Muschamp, who was fired after four years.
