CLEVELAND – On a day in which Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin and Baltimore Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta suffered gruesome injuries, Cleveland Browns offensive lineman Ryan Miller may have received the most severe injury.
Miller, a second-year tackle/guard out of Colorado, got rushed to the hospital after sustaining a concussion during a one-on-one blocking drill, and fall to the ground, per Tom Withers of The Associated Press.
The sight of the 6’7, 320-pound Miller, was enough to cause teammates to pause and kneel for their fallen teammate.
According to reports, the offensive linemen did not have his helmet removed though there’s great news in regards him being awake and also being able to move his extremities. He got taken to the Cleveland Clinic’s main campus for treatment.
The injury to Miller came on the day that Maclin tore his right ACL. A major blow to the Eagles offense and for who starts at quarterback and Pitta of the defending Super Bowl champion Ravens, who dislocated his hip, is expected to miss the entire 2013-14 season.
