Most people dream of becoming a musician at some point in their life. Most often—a guitarist because the instrument is embedded in so many cultures, styles of music, iconic shows and movies. Many will buy a guitar at some point in their life—few will learn to play it, and very few will dare to make it a career. Almost none will make it a highly successful career. It takes a certain open heart to accept all of the failures that come along the way, learn from them, and integrate those lessons into a better approach.

As a guitarist, you will face a lot of struggles at the initial start of your career. Making rent and covering life expenses early on are a leading cause of most guitarists and musicians in general to branch out into other fields, often ultimately abandoning the initial dream of being a guitarist. But there are many other off-ramps of this career path. Many only reach a level of success that pales in comparison to the dream that once burned bright—and this is disheartening and causes them to move into other fields. They can plateau for such a long time that they lose the fire in their belly.

But there have been a few guitarists who’ve not only exhibited a strong mastery of the instrument but have a keen sense of the business that implements the guitar into the music world. Early on, guitarists like Les Paul—the archetypal guitarist behind Gibson and multi-tracking. Julian Bream—who brought the classical guitar to the radio and went on to create extended documentaries about the classical guitar when nobody was doing it. But when the name David Veslocki comes up—we are talking about a guitarist who not only is an extremely strong force within the realms of classical, jazz, studio/session work, blues, RNB and rock—but has notable success as a record producer, songwriter, composer and record executive.

David Veslocki is a grammy Award, Daytime Emmy, OscarNominated guitar recording/composition contributor, multi-billboard chart-topping song producer, and entrepreneur.
