The round of 64 is set and the madness has officially begun for most. Brackets are challenging, but at the Inscriber they are made easy for you.

First this will be a great tournament, especially the third round (round of 32) of the tournament. Most brackets start with the second round (round of 64) of the tournament. Here goes the predictions for these games and why they will end this way.

East Region:

#1 Villanova is up against Radford, who beat LIU Brooklyn in the first game of the tournament, Tuesday. Radford does have quality players, but Villanova is one of the best team in the country for a reason. A 16 seed beating a number 1 has never happened and it won’t here. Villanova will easily outmatch them. Polite Jr. should be good for Radford, but Brunson/Bridges will be better.

#9 Alabama will play the upset role in this 8/9 matchup against Virginia Tech. This is a very intriguing game, but when it came down to it Collin Sexton is what does it for me. Continue to preach good guard play will win games in March, Collin provides that. Tech is well coached and play very well, they beat Duke. Should be a matchup that works in the favor of the fan.

#5 West Virginia and their pest-like defense will be too much for #12 Murray State. Ohio Valley Conference champions turn the ball over too much for a team like West Virginia. This is one of those matchup nightmares for State.

#4 Wichita State aren’t shockers anymore like their team name says. Played the role of a team to cause an upset or a few for the past few years, but now they are legit. Marshall is in for it with how they will matchup with Shamet and Shaq down low.

#11 St. Bonaventure comes off of a huge win against UCLA in their play-in game. The biggest part of this is that the player I had playing well for them in this game didn’t. If Jaylen turns it up they have sweet 16 potential. Chiozza will have something to say about it as he leaves the Gators once the season ends. Competitive game because Florida is built to compete, but Bonaventure plays defense very well and limit your best player.

#3 Texas Tech is set up to have a blowout type win. They are my sleeper pick because Evans isn’t playing at his 100% level. If he can give 100% this game is a huge time gap to catch up on sleep, or reading my other pieces!

#10 Butler and Arkansas is very similar to the Alabama game in terms of how close and crazy it’ll feel when you’re thinking about your bracket while watching these games. No worries, Butler is going to win. In competitive games free throws will separate a winner from a loser, unfortunately they are both pretty good from there. I call this game a toss-up game. Which helps because they shouldn’t win in the next round, so if your pick isn’t right you, don’t lose many points.

#2 Purdue, Isaac Haas, Carson Edwards, Vincent Edwards… enough said.
