Miami, FL — Edward Mena, renowned singer and cultural ambassador, has been named Executive Director of the International Association of Hispanic Arts and Culture (AIPEH) in Miami. AIPEH, led by its President, Dr. Palmira Ubiñas, is a premier organization dedicated to promoting Hispanic literature, poetry, and artistic expression worldwide. In his new role, Mena will oversee AIPEH’s programs in Miami, focusing on expanding opportunities for Hispanic writers, poets, and artists to gain recognition both locally and internationally. His appointment reflects AIPEH’s commitment to fostering cultural enrichment and providing platforms for emerging talent across the Hispanic community.

Edward Mena brings a wealth of experience in the arts to his new leadership role. A celebrated vocalist, Mena has performed internationally and has been recognized for his extraordinary contributions to music. He has the distinction of being the first Venezuelan artist to sing at a presidential event in the United States, and he has been recognized at the White House as an exemplary Venezuelan. His musical career has earned him multiple awards, including two Global Music Awards for Best Male Vocalist and a nomination at the World Entertainment Awards.

Mena’s career has been marked by collaborations with world-class artists and producers such as Humberto Gatica and Hildemaro Álvarez, and he has a deep commitment to cultural advocacy. Now, as Executive Director of AIPEH Miami, he will leverage his artistic expertise and global network to create programs that connect Hispanic artists and writers with broader audiences, while nurturing the next generation of talent.
