If you’re a fan of Adam Sandler, you might want to re-new your subscription to Netflix.

The streaming site has announced an exclusive deal to distribute four new films from the actor exclusively on their network.

Netflix has seen success with original shows like Orange is the New Black and House of Cards, but this new partnership is unchartered territory for them.

This is the first time an actor, especially with someone of Sandler’s pedigree, will distribute multiple new releases through the company.

Sandler has established himself as one the leading men in Hollywood. His films have grossed more than $2 billion at the box office, and he has starred in some of the most successful comedies of the last 25 years such as Happy Gilmore, The Waterboy, Big Daddy, and Grown Ups.

However, Sandler’s most recent film, Blended, was not only panned by critics but has also underperformed in theaters. Combine this flop with recent failure’s such as Jack and Jill and Bedtime Stories, and it might seem Sandler has lost his touch.

This new venture will give Sandler a chance to re-ignite the spark that made his earlier work so successful. Without the pressures of the box-office, and with the added attention Netflix pays to its original entertainment, Sandler can focus more on quality than quantity.

While terms of the deal were not disclosed, Sandler did offer some insight into why he signed the deal with Netlfix, but he gave his answer in a way only he can.

“When these fine people came to me with an offer to make four movies for them, I immediately said yes for one reason and one reason only … Netflix rhymes with Wet Chicks. Let the streaming begin!”

It is not known when the first official movie will be released to Netlfix. However, fans of Sandler will still have plenty of new films to look forward to.

In the pipeline the actor has three movies readying for release, with the first film, Men, Women, and Children, slated to debut on October 17th.

It is indeed a happy day for Sandler and for Netflix, but also for his many fans around the world.
