The possibility of The Joker appearing in DC’s Suicide Squad may have likely just become written in stone.
What could lead me to think that? Maybe it’s due to the fact that they have just cast the part of The Clown Prince of Crime’s biggest fan and groupie, Harley Quinn.
Margot Robbie had been mentioned as an early casting choice to appear in Suicide Squad; a report from Collider stated that sources say Robbie has been cast to portray that maniacal maven with an unhealthy love for The Joker.
The character of Harley Quinn was introduced Sept. 11th 1992 in Batman: The Animated Series before making her first comic appearance in The Batman Adventures issue # 12 in Sept. of 1993. According to Aggressive Comics, Harley Quinn was originally intended to be a “throw away character” in the animated series.
However, people fell in love with her character and the creators decided to keep bringing her back. Good thinking fellas.
I definitely feel that Robbie is a good choice for this role. I firmly believe this sassy little blonde will be able to effectively emulate the nefarious nymph that is equal parts sexy and psychopath. I for one CANNOT wait to see her come to life on the big screen when Suicide Squad opens in 2016.
