Netflix hasn’t let its loyal audience down when it comes to original programming. And that holds especially true to its newest binge-worthy series, Fuller House.

Think of Fuller House as Full House for a new generation. It definitely has the charm and appeal of the original, but with a few twists along the way.

Fans of the original series will be glad to know that almost all of their favorite characters return, the lone exception being Michelle, as Mary Kate and Ashley Olson declined to join the project. Although, the character is referenced numerous times throughout the series.

Even without the Olson twins reprising their role on Fuller House, it’s still a welcome sight to see the rest of the cast reunite. And while it’s easy to fall in love with Uncle Jesse (John Stamos), Danny Tanner (Bob Saget), Joey Gladstone (Dave Coulier) and Mr. Woodchuck (Yes, he is featured in the series.), the show focuses squarely on sisters D.J. (Candace Cameron-Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and lifelong friend, Kimmy Gibbler (Alicia Barber).

The story plays out similarly to the original series, except the roles of Danny, Jesse and Joey are played by the aforementioned female characters. The pair of Stephanie and Kimmy move in to the old family home to help support and assist  D.J., as she struggles through the loss of her husband and raising her three children, essentially the same premise as the classic show.

Just like Full House, the cast of kids has to be as memorable as their adult counterparts. Thankfully, the Fuller House  producers hit a home run with their choices.

The highlight of the group is definitely Max (Elias Harger ), D.J.’s second oldest child.  He’s an absolute riot, and really set the tone for some of the series funnier moments.

In addition to the beloved Max, the other two series regulars, Jackson (Michael Campion), the oldest of D.J.’s children, and Ramona (Soni Bringas), Kimmy Gibbler’ lone child, are also portrayed perfectly. And in typical Full House fashion, the youngest child, Tommy, is played by twins, Fox and Dashiell Messitt, both of whom are absolutely adorable.

Also, joining the party is Full House alum, Steve (Scott Weinger) and newcomer, Dr. Matt Harmon (John Brotherton). Both of the characters become critical to the shows story, and also provide some comic relief as well.

The 13-episode series isn’t to be missed. It does resemble the original quite a bit, and many have criticized the show for that reason. However, fans of Full House will no doubt enjoy the Netflix revival, not only for its nostalgia factor, but also it’s feel good moments.

If you loved watching Full House in the 1990’s, you’ll love watching Fuller House. And even if you haven’t seen the original, there is still plenty of entertainment to be had.
