It seems like the two-part Avengers: Infinity War will be directed by someone other than Joss Wheldon.

Reports are suggesting that “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” directors Joe and Anthony Russo will be helming the project. Joe Russo confirmed via a leaked Sony e-mail that they are indeed involved with the  Infinity War films.

In the e-mail, Joe Russo also gave his two cents on the ongoing Spider Man situation stating, “that it was too bad the talks with Marvel had broken down.”

Before the release of The Winter Soldier, the Russo brothers were synonymous with directing a few short-lived television shows including Happy Endings, Community and Animal Practice.

In addition, the pair directed the comedy, “You Me and Dupree”.

The directing duo is currently set to direct  “Captain America: Civil War” which will be set for release on May 6th 2016.

Also in the pipeline for the two is the thriller, “The Gray Man” which currently doesn’t have a set release date. It is also worth noting that another leaked e-mail suggested the brothers could be attached to future Spiderman projects, with the belief that Spiderman aficionado Avi Arad, is forced out by Sony.

The Russo brothers are certainly very busy men these days. They already have a good reputation with comic book fans after the success of the Winter Soldier, so a decision to direct Infinity Wars seems like a very solid choice.
