Despite his team’s 23-10 season-opening home loss Cleveland Browns tight end Jordan Cameron established himself a legit tight end in fantasy football.

Cameron, a former basketball player at USC, has followed in the footsteps of former hoops star, Julius Thomas in becoming the next up-and-coming waiver wire gem.

Cameron caught nine catches for 108 yards and one touchdown on 13 targets, is currently owned in 32.5 percent of all fantasy leagues and racked up 16 points in standard format scoring for lucky fantasy owners.

The 6’5 245-pounder has a cautiously good matchup against a most likely winded Baltimore Ravens defense at home, Cameron could look to have another solid outing on the road, thanks to the loss of No.1 wideout Josh Gordon and his solid on-field chemistry with quarterback Brandon Weeden.

While other talented tight ends such as Thomas, Martellus Bennett and Jared Cook are all most likely to be owned, Cameron, along with New England’s Zach Sudfield and Arizona’s Ryan Housler are borderline tight ends to keep an eye on.
