At this point in the fantasy football season, you’re likely no longer streaming, but things like injuries and bad performances happen, and may leave you wanting for another tight end this week. Below are three tight ends available in 50% of Yahoo! leagues or more (and one out there in at least 90%) in the best position to be fantasy relevant in week fourteen.

Hunter Henry at Carolina (19% owned)
The main knock on Henry is that it’s impossible to tell if it will be an Antonio Gates game or a Hunter Henry game. Still, even with that information, among active TEs, he’s still twelfth in fantasy points per game on the year. He is getting his production in positive matchups despite splitting targets with Gates. This weekend the Chargers take on the Panthers, who were a great defense last year but are the worst this season against defending the tight end. Everything is setting up for Henry to have a good fantasy game this week.

Vance McDonald versus the Jets (16% owned)
This is a battle of what do you believe more: Colin Kaepernick becoming hot garbage and causing Vance McDonald to do nothing, or do you believe the Jets getting crushed by Dwayne Allen last weekend? Personally I am going to go with the latter, as the Jets have completely packed it in for the season defensively and are primed to get some scores on them. It’ll either be Vance or Carlos Hyde. Bet on Vance, don’t be afraid of a passing game playing poorly in the snow when all anyone talks about is how passing games play poorly in the snow. Plus he signed a stupid contract on Friday, so don’t be surprised if the front office leans on the coaching staff to highlight him Sunday.

Will Tye versus Dallas (3% owned)
When you get below 10% owned at tight end, you’re basically guessing at who will get a touchdown, which is impossible to predict. Instead, I’ll go with the tight end with the most potential production based on his targets and opportunity. The Giants’ passing game is a mess, but Eli has gone after Tye in the red zone in the past. This is a complete desperation tight end play this week. Running backs and wide receivers aren’t great against the Cowboys, but tight ends are, so he’s worth a shot this week if you’re exceptionally desperate at tight end.
