INSCMagazine: Get Social!

Are you a fan of the Miami Heat? If so, it’s likely that you already have next season’s games on your radar. However, if you’re somebody who doesn’t live near Miami right now is a good time to start considering whether or not to go to any of this season’s games. After all, getting to Miami can be quite a trek for residents in upstate Florida, let alone outside of the state itself.

Because the games typically start at 8 PM with doors opening at 7 PM, anybody attending will have the ample chance to explore the surrounding Miami area, get some great food, and even catch some sun and surf on the beach. Regardless of how you decide to celebrate the game, we definitely recommend that you turn the entire experience into a full-blown Florida getaway.

Why? Well, for starters, there are a ton of wonderful restaurants and tourist destinations in the Miami area that you’ll have plenty of things to do. On top of this, there are also great nearby hotels that match the comfort you want with truly affordable price points. So why wouldn’t you want to have a fun, relaxing vacation in Florida while you get a chance to see your favorite NBA team?

Where to Stay

If you’ve decided to make the trip to Miami for the basketball game, we recommend that you look into hotels near Miami Airport. This is because you will not only be able to get to and from the airport quickly, but you’ll also in a convenient, central location in the city! The prices are also typically very affordable when compared to other properties closer to the beach, so you’ll be able to save money to use on souvenirs and food at the Miami Heat game!

Out of all the hotel options near the Miami Airport, you can’t do much better than the Hyatt Place Miami Airport-East. It offers deluxe experiences at an affordable price. With a gorgeous outdoor pool that offers guests cabanas and umbrellas, you can relax in true Miami style.

The Hilton Miami Airport Blue Lagoon is another popular choice. This stylish hotel is right next to the airport, but given its lagoon-style setting, scads of amenities like basketball and tennis courts, outdoor pool, and multiple on-site bars and restaurants, it offers an amazing experience.

Other Local Activities

If you’re someone who is interested in art, we recommend that you go to Wynwood. Best known for its extensive display of street art, this outdoor museum is a perfect activity to do on a sunny day. If you want to be surrounded by nature, we recommend that you go to one of the area’s beautiful and scenic parks, such as the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Park. Going to the beach is also a great idea if you want to soak up some sun!

Those getting back to the hotel after the basketball game don’t have to worry about finding food, as hotels near the Miami Airport always have substantial options that are a short distance away. For example, both Monster Bite World and the Miami Subs Grill are fantastic options for late-night food that will keep you focused and filled. If you want more of a formal sit-down experience, we definitely recommend La Palapa Hondurena #2, a restaurant that has a spacious floor plan that makes it easy to sit down for lunch or dinner.
