Step into the swirling fog of Grimshaw, a town where the silence is thick and secrets hang in the air like morning dew. The latest creation from award-winning director Thor Moreno, GRIMSHAW is an immersive experience, a place you’ll feel as if you were there.

The story opens with a single, chilling question: What really happened to the girl found dead in Grimshaw’s shadowy woods? FBI Agent Danielle Roland (Caitlin Allen) arrives, her footsteps echoing through deserted streets, determined to find answers. But in Grimshaw, every face hides a story, and every story seems to end in a whisper.

Moreno, celebrated for his ability to bring atmosphere to life, paints Grimshaw as a living, breathing entity. The town’s sheriff, Koda Gable (Les Best), greets Roland with a gaze that says more than words ever could, while the mysterious Ester Wiyohpi (Annette Duffy) seems to know truths she’ll never reveal. The tension is palpable, the dread deliciously slow-burning.

What sets GRIMSHAW apart is its commitment to mood. The cinematography—courtesy of Grant Gale—lingers on misty streets, flickering lights, and the subtle, uneasy glances exchanged between townsfolk. The film doesn’t just show you fear; it makes you feel it, drawing you into a web of folklore, suspicion, and supernatural possibility.

Behind the camera, Moreno and producer Jan Walters have spent years crafting this world, inspired by the idea that even the supernatural might have its own sense of justice. The result is a story that’s as much about moral ambiguity as it is about murder—a puzzle that Agent Roland and the audience must solve one unnerving piece at a time.

Despite battling unseasonal heat and sudden storms during production, the cast and crew have conjured a film that feels both timeless and timely. GRIMSHAW is a place you’ll want to escape from—but won’t be able to forget.

As the summer release approaches, prepare to lose yourself in the mystery. In Grimshaw, the fog never lifts—and neither will the questions.

GRIMSHAW streams this summer.
