With a solid inside game and outside touch, Frank Kaminsky is the heart and soul of a loaded Wisconsin Badgers team.

Wisconsin has lost two games this season. In the team’s 67-62 loss against Rutgers, Kaminsky didn’t play due to injury, and when the seven-foot senior is on the court, the Badgers can be nearly unbeatable.

Kaminsky wasn’t always the team’s best player. In fact, he rarely saw the court during his first two years in Wisconsin, playing a combined 609 minutes during his freshman and sophomore years. He earned an opportunity for more minutes during his junior year, and not surprisingly helped lead Wisconsin to one of its best seasons in school history.

Kaminsky was a key asset on a Badgers team that made it to the 2014 Final Four. Averaging 13.9 points, Kaminsky was a threat from not only beneath the basket, but at the three-point line as well. He took 98 shots from beyond the arc last season, and despite only shooting at 37.8 percent, he became one of the best shooting big men in the country.

This season, Kaminsky has stepped up his game a great deal, as his averages of 16.9 points and 8.2 rebounds pace the Badgers. Of Wisconsin’s 19 games, Kaminsky has had double-digit points in all but two, and has displayed an all-around game that has many NBA scouts taking notice.

With a solid 7’0 frame, and evolving perimeter and post games, Kaminsky is that rare college senior that has room for to grow in the NBA. However, right now it’s all about growing as a Badger first.
