The Frisco RoughRiders, Double-A affiliate to the Texas Rangers, are hosting the 2017 Texas League All-Star game. Some of the best talent at the Double-A level will make an appearance at Dr. Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas. The 81st Texas League All-Star game, presented by McAfee will be on Tuesday, June 27.  Fans are invited to join the festivities, including the All-Star Gala the night before and the All-Star Game FanFest, presented by Texas Mahindra Dealers and Sephora on game day.

The All-Star Gala is Monday, June 26 at 7:00 PM. It will be at Gilley’s Dallas. A limited number of tickets are available. RoughRiders season ticketholders have an exclusive pre-sale opportunity starting Monday, June 5 at 11 AM, with any remaining tickets going on sale to the public Wednesday, June 7 at 10 AM.

FanFest leads up to the All-Star Game on Tuesday, June 27, with gates to Dr Pepper Ballpark opening at 3:30 p.m. FanFest features live entertainment from Dallas-based country singer/songwriter Adrian Johnston, plus fans can collect All-Star player autographs and watch batting practice. Inflatables and other activities will be available for kids.

The Celebrity Softball Game starting at 5:15 p.m. follows FanFest, and features local media celebs and professional athletes with ties to Dallas-Fort Worth area franchises. Rosters for the Celebrity Softball Game will be released at a later date.

After the pregame festivities wrap up, first pitch of the Texas League All-Star Game is at 7:05 p.m. Following the game, fans are invited to enjoy fireworks presented by Park Place Lexus.

The Texas League All-Star Game, hosted by the RoughRiders for the third time, will pit the top prospects from the league’s North and South divisions. The South will be represented by the RoughRiders (Texas Rangers), Corpus Christi Hooks (Houston Astros), Midland RockHounds (Oakland Athletics) and San Antonio Missions (San Diego Padres). The North will feature the Arkansas Travelers (Seattle Mariners), Northwest Arkansas Naturals (Kansas City Royals), Springfield Cardinals (St. Louis Cardinals) and Tulsa Drillers (Los Angeles Dodgers).

Recent standout players from the Texas League All-Star Game include current Rangers’ Elvis Andrus, Martin Perez, and Ryan Rua. Additionally, some of baseball’s great young stars, such as Mike Trout, Nolan Arenado, George Springer, and Mike Moustakas. The RoughRiders had seven players selected to the All-Star Game last season, with outfielder Ryan Cordell claiming MVP honors.
