The Frisco RoughRiders, Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, fall to the San Antonio Missions 6-1 Thursday night. Royce Bolinger homered in the seventh, accounting for Frisco’s only run. The Missions took no time manhandling righty Tyler Davis. After back-to-back losses, the RoughRiders are now 40-50 this season.

The RoughRiders were lacking in offensive performance, allowing the Missions starting pitcher to go seven innings. Across those seven, Frisco managed just three hits. In total, four of the nine RoughRiders batters got hits. The club went 0-2 with runners in scoring position, leaving five men on base. Bolinger and his home run were the only offense to watch in the matchup.

Davis earned his first decision, a loss, since being promoted to Double-A. He pitched six innings, allowing 11 hits and five runs (all earned). He walked none and struck out just one batter. Joe Filomeno relieved Davis, pitching one inning of perfect baseball, striking out two. Clayton Cook also tossed an inning of perfect baseball. Nick Gardewine closed out the pitching duties for the RoughRiders, allowing one hit and one run (earned), over one inning of work.
