SANTA CLARA, CA — With Super Bowl LX coming up in two weeks, and teams already in the midst of hiring new coaches and personnel, here is my list of current coaches on the hot seat for the upcoming 2026-27 season.

Indianapolis Colts: Shane Steichen (Already Hot): After starting off 8-0 under Daniel Jones and on the cusp of a No.1 seed before bottoming out, in losing eight of their last nine games, Steichen is on a short leash, and we get to see just how much of Carlie Irsay-Gordon learned from her dad.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Todd Bowles (Piping Hot) (My prediction for Mike Tomlin): Not much to say here, except for Bowles is wasting the once-promising second act of Baker Mayfield and the future Hall of Fame one of WR Mike Evans. It doesn’t get any easier as Atlanta, New Orleans and Carolina have all upgraded immensely.

New York Jets: Aaron Glenn, he better win at least 6 games. (Hot): Nothing is going to save him unless he either resigns or is fired, as the Jets are a total dumpster fire right now.

Cincinnati Bengals: Zac Taylor (Warming Up): Joe Burrow wants out, and all the early-season slow starts need to stop immediately, or lease Taylor will be needing to update his resume real quick.

Washington Commanders: Dan Quinn (Warming Up) Owner is impatient, better rebound and win the NFC East. How is this surprising, when you have a talented—yet fragile QB1 in Jayden Daniels—a talented defense and raised the expectations in our nation’s capital, plus a new stadium on the horizon?

The NFC East is theirs for the taking, and if the Comms don’t win it, At minimum, then DQ is out.

Green Bay Packers: Matt LaFleur (Darkhorse): New management, leash won’t be long. In trying to hide my Viking bias here, but Green Bay is in the midst of a crossroads, considering all of the talent that they have, in QB Jordan Love, ED Micah Parsons and WR Matthew Golden, but for some reason, the Packers can’t seem to finish the job under LaFleur.

I’ll never cry any tears over the Cheeseheads and their issues, but with the Lions also slipping back to the rear and Caleb Williams now emerging as a problem down in Chicago, the Packers reign of error in the NFC North appears to be finally coming to an end.

Philadelphia Eagles: Nick Siranni. His schick has run its course. They miss the playoffs he is gone. This is about as cut and dry as a leftover cheesesteak from Geno’s.

AJ Brown hates him, the fans are tired of him. And Sirianni is just too much of a headache to keep at this point, he is my first coach to get canned in Black Friday.

Mark this down.
