New Hampshire.

Tucked in the attic of America, the Granite State is the very soul of American freedom.

If America had a proverbial origin of how and where it became a country, New Hampshire is it. It is where Paul Revere rode to warn of the invading British troops in Portsmouth. It is where the Battle of William and Mary was fought in securing arms and ammunition. While the state with a population of 1.3 million, it’s influence and impact on American culture has been vast.

One of the few states where French is openly spoken, New Hampshire is the perfect melting pot of French Canada and Boston expats looking to escape the city. Naturally, being tucked in the heat of New England, Red Sox red and Patriots blue are the sports colors of choice.

Home to famous celebrities such as Seth Meyers, Adam Sandler and Mandy Moore, the White Mountain State has produced its fair share of notables. Could Nashua native and Virginia-based commercial and print model, Christina LaRose be the next?

At just 5’4, the hazel-eyed, sun kissed babe , who is repped by Couture Modeling Agency out of New York, the sexy LaRose has modeled for brands such as Studio Door and Kua Sky Apparel while posting for glamour magazines such as Prototype Mag, Slay Model Mag, Unbreakable Mag and online publications such as Couch Brothers Blog and Model Citizen Blog.

A curvy–yet–petite model, Christina has a combination of curves, glam and a beautiful set of doe-like brown eyes and golden skin that exudes West Coast cool, but with a touch of East Coast edge.

Like all native New Englanders, LaRose is a diehard fan of her native Red Sox and Patriots. Below is my Q and A with Christina as we talk modeling, her beloved hometown sports teams, fashion and being a glamour model.

Congrats on the Sox winning the World Series! Did you fly up for the parade? No I didn’t go see the parade, I’m not too much of a baseball fan.

Think the Pats win their sixth Super Bowl It’s hard to know for sure at this point, but I must say I always prefer to cheer for the underdog!

Tell us all a little about you? I am a commercial/ print model based in Virginia. I am represented by Couture Modeling Agency in New York but do a lot of freelance as well. While I specialize in print work, I also shoot glamour, boudoir, fitness, artistic, and fashion.

Define “Glamour Girl” what does it mean to you? Because I also do some glamour modeling, being a “glamour girl” to me means posing in bikini or lingerie in an attractive way.

Thoughts on the rise in popularity of modeling on Instagram? There is a big difference between someone who gets pictures taken of them for fun to put up on Instagram and someone who does professional paid modeling work but uses Instagram for marketing and promotion. Both are fine, but know the difference.

Pumpkin spice, Salted Caramel or Peppermint Mocha? So depends on the season! Right now it’s probably salted caramel. I’m a big caramel macchiato fan.

With fall coming up, what fashion and fitness tips and trends do you have for looking good and staying in shape? When it comes to style, know your body type. Find what works for your shape and wear it with confidence. As fall approaches so does dryer weather. Be sure to take care of your skin by drinking lots of water. I also use lotions on my face to help with acne scars and give my face a radiant look. Give yourself a little TLC and take care of yourself in ways that feel good.

What is THE one hot fashion item that you must have/or get this season? Something new we are seeing this season is a break from tradition fall patterns. Light colored pastels and bright floral patterns are being seen in Paris fall designs. Don’t be afraid to go outside the norm this year. And remember, there are way to many trends out there to not keep it practical with your wardrobe as well. If it doesn’t fit your vibe, ditch it- there are too many great trends to feel stuck in something you don’t feel comfortable in.

Winter fashion tips and tricks.  Pick staples that never go out of style- a woven scarf, thigh high boots. And thank goodness oversized sweatshirts are in so you can stay comfy and look cute at the same time. Right now the cropped look is in, I know I’ll be rocking my cropped long sleeved and sweatshirts this season!

G-string, thong, frenchies or commando, which do you prefer? Thong- always good for wearing leggings.

What would you say is your best feature? My eyes and figure.

What makes you feel sexy? When I feel happy and confident. I think a laughing and happy woman is the most attractive quality. Having my makeup and outfit on point doesn’t hurt either though!

What exudes sexiness? Confidence and drive. When a man has drive to work hard for what he wants without fear, that’s very attractive.

Best/worst pickup line you’ve heard? “Excuse me. My friend is a little embarrassed. He’d like your phone number. He wants to know where he can get ahold of me in the morning.”

What attracts you most to a man? I find certain types of body language attractive, it’s all in the way a man carries himself. I admire a man who works hard for his success and stays positive. I’m lucky to have such a man in my life currently.

What should men get their women this season in hopes of spicing things up this holiday season? This year, instead of something cliche like jewelry, how about you go with something more personal and hands on. I’d recommend getting your special lady massage oils with an offer of a personal massage given by you. She’ll love how intimate it is and I wouldn’t worry about things getting spicy after that!

Athleisure? Fashion or fitness fad? I love athleisure! I want to be comfy all the time and this allows me to still look stylish at the same time. Wearing athleisure is also great way to motivate yourself to stay active.

What is one area that most people overlook—but should—pay attention to more in getting in shape? I think that good nutrition is often overlooked when trying to lose weight or getting into shape. You don’t have to necessarily eat less, just more of the right foods. We starve our bodies when we consistently eat junk food without nutritional value. The less processing or ingredients that are in store bought food the better. Cook for yourself so you know with confidence what you are putting in you. And, you don’t have to skip out on that sweet tooth craving with brands like halo top and chilly cow around!

Fave music? I like country and pop music the best. Or anything with a unique beat that makes you feel like dancing!

Sports: Any favorite teams, clubs and players? I’m not big into watching sports to be honest, but from living near Denver and in Houston my football loyalties generally lie with the Broncos and Texans. For college football, go Hokies!

What advice would you give to women aspiring to get into modeling? I would say that it takes persistence, motivation, and courage in the face of others saying no. Good things don’t come easy, and you have to be a go getter to make achieve success in the modeling industry. Worthwhile opportunities do not just fall into your lap. Stay strong and don’t be afraid to ask a photographer to test shoot with you, to attend a casting call, or submit to an agency. Respect yourself and don’t let anyone try to convince you to do something you aren’t comfortable with.
