Adidas could be taking a huge hit due to an open investigation lead by OSHA regarding an employee injury that took place at Kanye West’s Calabasas office. It is at this Calabasas office where his Yeezys are designed. TMZ is reporting the injury took place 2 months ago when a large 3D printer fell and landed on an employee’s foot while being moved.

OSHA is now investigating the incident in attempt to determine if the injury was a direct result of any safety violations. If this is the case, Adidas could be dishing out as much as $129k for each violation.

It was just a couple weeks ago that a petition was drawn up for Adidas to end their partnership with West. This petition came after comments West made in an interview with TMZ, suggesting slavery was a choice. West stated, “When you hear about slavery for 400 years. . .for 400 years? That sounds like a choice.”

While Adidas steered clear from commenting on West’s statement on slavery, Adidas CEO, Kasper Rorsted, did suggest the brand will not be cutting ties with West any time soon when he said, “Kanye has been and is a very important part of our strategy and has been a fantastic creator. And that’s why I’m going to leave it, I’m not going to comment on every comment that he or someone else is making.”

Could the outcome of OSHA’s investigation be a game changer for Kanye West and the future of his Yeezys? ? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
