The Green Bay Packers are seeking revenge on the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday – and what better way to get it than being in the second round of the playoffs. Earlier this season, the Cowboys, who were led by their two rookie studs Prescott and Elliot, picked apart the Pack in Lambeau. Prescott threw for whopping 247 yards, raking in three touchdowns and one interception. Elliot, on the other hand, rushed for 157 yards.
Let’s also not forget that this game was before Aaron Rodgers’ “run the table,” comment. In the beginning of the season, the Green Bay Packers started 4-6 and was essentially a team without an identity. They didn’t have a notable offense, defense, and Rodgers wasn’t doing too great. Ever since their win against the Eagles a few weeks after their Dallas loss, Rodgers, along with the rest of the team got into a rhythm and have been unstoppable.
Putting the past aside – let’s take a look at some key matchups that will be taking place this weekend.

Aaron Rodgers VS. Dak Prescott. Veteran VS. Rookie. Ever since the Packers loss to the Titans, Rodgers has thrown 285 consecutive passes without an interception, boosting his passer rating to a bolstering 104.2. The rookie out of Mississippi State, Dak Prescott, threw 459 pass attempts without an interception, finishing up the season with an astounding 104.9 passer rating. Time to put two of the league’s most efficient passers to the test.
Letroy Guion VS. Ezekiel Elliot. Seven is the number of times this season in which Elliot broke the 100-yard rushing mark. This feat enabled him to win the NFL’s Rushing Title with 322 carries for 1,631 yards and 15 touchdowns. On the other side of the field stands the Packers’ defense, in which the run defense ranked 8th this season. Guion will have to have a big game in order to limit Elliot’s onslaught.
Morgan Burnett VS. Jason Witten. The seventh-year veteran Burnett has been fairly versatile for the Packers all season, playing either the safety position or as a pseudo-linebacker. This season, he led the Packers with 93 tackles, three sacks, and two interceptions. His opponent will be Dallas’ own ten-time pro bowl tight end, Jason Witten, who racked up 69 passes, 673 yards, and three touchdowns this season. Oh yeah, he also has played 219 consecutive regular season games.
This game will surely be one for the books, and although the Pack performed poorly against Dallas in their last matchup, they are a whole new team this time around.
