Tampa Bay, Florida. The Gem of The Gulf Coast.
One of the most breath taking and simply amazing locales in the world, Florida’s Gulf Coast is a stunning vista of tropical beauty.
With a glistening metro area of Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater having a combined population of 3.0 million, Tampa is one of the top 20 largest metro areas in the country. From Citrus Park to Pinellas Park and Dunedin to Palm Harbor, Tampa has it all from sports, beaches, nightlife, entertainment and home to some of the most beautiful women on Earth.
Whether it is entertainment, sports or media, Tampa can lay claim to the likes of Hollywood A-list bombshells such as Megan Fox, supermodel and actress Kate Upton, FS1 sideline reporter Erin Andrews, Michelle McCool, Playboy playmates Jaime Edmondson and Kara Monaco, Ballers star Arielle Kebbel, singer-songwriter and model, Brooke Hogan, singer, model and record producer, Willa Ford and you can see why many model and acting firms set up shop in the Tampa area.
If you love sports, Tampa is the equivalent of paradise in having championship teams such as the NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneers, NHL Tampa Bay Lightning or contenders such as the MLB Tampa Bay Rays. Thanks to hosting the 2016 College Football Playoff championship game that featured Clemson upsetting defending champion Alabama, Tampa is set to host the 2018 NHL All-Star Game.
Overall, Tampa has hosted four Super Bowls (XVII, XXV, XXXV, XLIII), the 2008 MLB World Series, the 1999 NHL All-Star game, the 2004 NHL Stanley Cup, The Outback Bowl, two ACC Championship Games, the 1999 NCAA Men’s Final Four, the 2008 and 205 Women’s Final Four and the 2012 and 2016 NCAA Frozen Four.
Thanks to all of these events and the seemingly endless bevy of gorgeous women in the greater Tampa area, one person likely in the thick of it all is Tampa-based promo and swimsuit model, Kebrena Picaro. Picaro, a dark-haired and curvy Puerto Rican-Italian head-turning stunner, has worked for some of the biggest brands on the market as a influencer/promo model for the likes of P1 Aquax, Mercedes Benz and Patron.
Despite being a petite 5’3, Picaro is one to keep an eye on in the world of promo and swimsuit modeling, as she has her set of magnetic brown eyes set on a bigger prize. Below is my Q and A with Picaro as we talk about modeling, fashion, life on the beach and her love of leggings.

What brands have you modeled for? I’ve represented P1 Aquax, Mercedes Benz, Patron, Bacardi Tangerine, Bacardi Oakheart, Bacardi Maestro, Bacardi 8. Dewar’s Higher Marques Scratched Cask, 12, 15, 18, Bonnie Rose, Forty Creek Whiskey, Wild Turkey American Honey, Bayou Rum, Coca-Cola Zero, Licor 43, Jack Daniel’s Fire, SKYY Vodka, SVEDKA, Tito’s Vodka, Serpent’s Bite, RumChata, B4, Bulldog Gin, Appleton Rum, White Claw, Lemon Lemon, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Casillero Del Diablo, Absolute Vodka Lime, Beefeater Gin, Insurrection Red,13 Degrees Celsius, Alize, Devotion Vodka, Campari and I am now starting to pair up with swimwear lines as an influencer/promotional model.
Which one do you enjoy modeling for the most? I don’t have a favorite. I’m always happy to have the opportunity to represent a new brand which usually leads to more great opportunities.
Where has been your favorite place to shoot? Anywhere on the beach. You can’t beat shooting on the Florida beaches!
What is the most exciting aspect of modeling? For me, the most exciting about anything is watching myself improve over the last few years and moving up in the industry. I eventually found what niche my look fits into, and now I am going for it 100%. Modeling isn’t about a pretty face, there is an art to it. You have to learn about lighting and how to pose your body to create an awesome picture!
With summer now here, what fashion and style tips and trends do you have for looking good when the temperature rises? Here in Florida, it gets really hot in the summer! I usually run for the air conditioning. Haha! If I know I am going to be outside for a promotion or whatever the case may be, I pack a bag to go. So for makeup, I like to keep it pretty simple to begin with. I usually wear just a foundation, a red lip, a little blush, mascara and play up the brows. In that case, I’ll pack my foundation and lipstick for touch ups. The humidity kills my hair no matter how I style it, so usually I’ll bring bobby pins a hair-tie and hairspray to do a cute updo later in the day. I also bring water and perfume, which is an absolute must!
Athleisure? Fashion or fitness fad? I can’t get enough of leggings. Yes, I wear them as pants. I like to pair them with a cami and cardigan or a cropped T.
What swimwear trends do you see being big this summer? There are so many unique and awesome cuts that I am seeing and they are all super sexy! I’m loooooving it. I’ve noticed a lot of halter tops, tassels, cut-outs, plunging necklines, straps galore and a lot of exposed buns!
What is your go-to swimwear style that you MUST have? I’m obsessed with all the sexy one-pieces along with the whole 90’s high waisted, cheeky bottoms that are going crazy right now.
Within the industry, who is your modeling inspiration? I love watching and following all of the Rockstar and Monster Energy models.
What is your workout and fitness secret to staying in shape? To be honest, I don’t have one. I try to be cautious of what I eat but I still eat my pasta, burgers and so on. I work out once in a while and I love to dance. Although this will all be changing soon. I’ll be pairing up with a trainer who is going to whip me into tip-top shape!
As someone who is very curvy, what do you think best exudes sexiness and confidence? Personally, I think curves are sexy in its self along with a million dollar smile, laughter, intelligence, kindness, selflessness and endless motivation makes a woman look extremely sexy and confident. It draws people in like there is no tomorrow.
What is your opinion of the whole “shaming” issue that seems to permeate across social media and how have you handled it, if any haters tried to call you out? This is a really good topic and a never-ending issue. I haven’t run into this issue too much yet, but I know my time will come. Honestly, you just can’t please the whole world and everyone’s personal beliefs. On another note, I can always tell who supports me 100% and who doesn’t.
Whenever I get a weird vibe from someone, whether it be a friend, family member or anyone in that case, I just brush it off and keep moving forward. I usually keep a distance because you can’t have those distractions. I see so many people not following their dreams and goals out of fear or what others tell them to be.
What would you say is your best feature? My butt, lips or eyes.
Any beaches you plan on hitting up this summer? You can find me on Clearwater and St. Pete Beach!
Any future projects coming down the pipeline? Always! I have a few things in the works. I would suggest anyone follow me on Instagram and Snapchat to keep up with what I am up to these days!
Outside of modeling, what are your hobbies? Interior decorating, networking, reading, writing, learning new things, checking out new pretty places. I also love to dress up and meet up with my girls! That always leads to other shenanigans and ten million pictures on my phone.
Sports question: Who are your favorite teams and clubs? Not really a sports fan! If I end up at a sporting event, I’m either there supporting for a promotion or there to eat all of the great food.
What are your favorite cities to travel to? I’ve been all up and down the east coast along with Portland, OR. I fell in love with Portland. It’s so naturesque and beautiful. I have a lot of places on my to-do list.
What advice would you give to women aspiring to get into modeling? Learn as much as you can about the industry, find out where your look fits in and where you would be marketable. Create your signature look and brand yourself, a lot of networking, build up your resume, and portfolio.
Most importantly, look great, be polished, feel great, and don’t give up. You must have confidence, drive, and passion for getting anywhere in the industry, and I think that goes with anything you want to dive into. In most situations, nothing is just given to you, instead, you have to work for it. That also comes with down times and times where you will face rejection.
