From Michelin Star restaurants to the family kitchen, great food starts with the right equipment. With a sharp set of knives and a reliable plan, even novice home chefs can create restaurant-quality dishes. The real secret to culinary success often lies within the cookware itself. And with its precision engineering and a history of top-tier-quality products, Swiss Diamond® has been setting the standard for cookware for decades.

Swiss Diamond cookware: A history of excellence

Established in 1974 as a coating research center in Sierre, Switzerland, Swiss Diamond® has a long history of excellence in the culinary space. The brand has perfected the art of even heat, non-stick cooking, and sustainable design, creating products that are meant to stand the test of time.

“Our brand’s philosophy is not just sleek aesthetics, but science, perseverance, and helping people cook delicious meals with not just less oil, but less hassle,” says Amir Alon, Executive Chairman of SMB Group.

Alon, a mechanical engineer who has spent decades studying how cookware materials perform in real kitchens, is proud of the legacy Swiss Diamond® has built among discerning home cooks and professionals alike. “Over the years, we really feel as if we have perfected a seamless blend of Swiss precision with widespread appeal,” he explains.

The power of pressure-cast aluminium

The “secret sauce” of the technology behind Swiss Diamond® is its pressure-cast aluminium with its proprietary nonstick coating that is made without adding PFAS. While most cookware is designed to look good on the store shelf, Swiss Diamond® is built to perform under daily pressure. The pressure-cast aluminium with its nonstick coating technology is designed for exceptional food release every time, and even over time. “The manufacturing method is more time-consuming, but results in a dramatically more durable product,” says Alon.

The thickness of the base is also a game-changer. “Our cookware features a base that’s six to eight millimeters thick,” Alon says. “Compare that to other cookware, which often uses stamped or forged aluminum at just 2.5 to 4 millimeters. Thin cookware warps under heat and unevenly distributes heat, so one side of your food burns while the other stays raw. Pressure-cast aluminum prevents that. It gives you perfectly even heat distribution and will never warp over time.”

This precision design influences how home cooks approach each recipe they set out to make. For example, searing a steak requires steady, evenly applied high heat, while pancakes demand gentle but consistent warmth. Swiss Diamond’s dense base ensures each ingredient cooks the way you intended — without hot spots or frustration.

Swiss Diamond®: Manufacturing and materials innovation

While many cookware brands buy their coating materials from third parties, Swiss Diamond® stands apart in the cookware space as both a manufacturer and innovator. The company has a 50-year history as a coating technology hub, and all of the company’s nonstick layers are developed and produced in-house.

What this means is that every pot and frying pan, every skillet, and every saucepan is infused with decades of research and refinement. “We have always set the bar in the industry for quality and performance,” says Alon. “We don’t outsource our production, and we own and operate our facilities in Switzerland, which allows us to maintain strict quality control from beginning to end.”

The company’s newest development is its CXD Double ceramic coating, coming on the heels of seven years of development. “It is a leap forward in terms of durability and sustainability,” explains Alon. “It has changed our minds about ceramic coating in cookware.”

Entirely made without PFAS, PTFE, PFOA, lead, or cadmium, the CXD coating offers outstanding nonstick capability and longevity — surpassing even Swiss Diamond’s renowned PTFE-based formulas. “We wanted something that not only matched the release properties of our best coatings but exceeded them in durability. Now we have it — and it’s healthier for both cooks and the environment,” says Alon.

Cooking like a pro simply and cleanly

Today’s savvy home cooks are expecting more from their cookware. They want performance that stands the test of time, coatings that not only make cooking easier but also healthier, and craftsmanship that they can trust.

“We’re not a trend that will disappear,” Alon emphasizes. “Many so-called cookware brands online have followers, but their products don’t last. We’re a real company with real technology, and we own our own manufacturing facilities in Switzerland. That’s why chefs and home cooks around the world trust us year after year.”

Swiss Diamond® checks every box, offering a legacy of professional-grade performance, innovative design, and everyday usability. For cooks who recognize the subtle science “baked into” their cookware, the quiet genius of Swiss engineering may be just what they are looking for to support their culinary ambitions.
