Hulk Hogan - WWE
INSCMagazine: Get Social!

Evidently, Hulk Hogan wants to get back in the wrasslin’ business. According to multiple sources, the former world champion and wrestling icon has his sights set on a return to WWE, the company that removed him from all mention after a video of him making alleged racist remarks surfaced in 2015. The Hulkster was fired in July the same year.

Could a move to the main roster – in some capacity – lead to the 63-year-old in a path that will see him wrestle one more time? Gosh, I hope not.

Per ibtimes.co.uk, the legend is not done with wrestling as he has made it known that he is ready for another run with a return fight against Vince McMahon.

“If it’s meant to be, its meant to be. To make peace with the wrestling world, that would be pretty a cool ending,” he previously told Good Morning America.

Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer recently said that Hogan could be making his comeback. And, Hogan himself told fans that he is in negotiations with McMahon for his return during a recent autograph signing, according to reports.

“Hulk Hogan did an autograph signing over the weekend in Los Angeles and was asked about the obvious question, just said he and Vince are talking,” Meltzer said.

“Then again, it is Hogan. The answer to the question of his returning is always about when the feeling it is a time when the company feels there will be no potential sponsor backlash,” he added.

I am not sure what kind of value Hogan offers to the company, other than a “one more match” scenario. He could serve as a marketer, preaching the gospel of WWE worldwide. Hogan’s ability in the ring is probably meek at best. And superstars today have their own agendas. This is not like WrestleMania X8 where The Rock and Hogan got in the ring for a torch-passing moment.

There are a few possible scenarios I could see if Hogan indeed returned to the ring. A match with Roman Reigns. The “Big Dog” has retired The Undertaker. Will WWE use him as another “legend killer” – much like Randy Orton was in his younger days? Could Hogan face a “torn” Reigns at SummerSlam or WrestleMania 34?

There is a possibility, although slight, fans could see Hogan and Vince McMahon or Shane McMahon in the ring. The relationship coming full circle. Hogan using the “animosity” angle to force a match with his former cohorts.

I’m sure there are a few other scenarios out there – possibly tied to current WWE superstars who were part of the TNA roster when Hogan as affiliated with the fledgling promotion.
