Igor Fishelev graduated from Ural State University with a degree in physics and continued postgraduate studies at the Institute of Metal Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, strengthening his technical and analytical expertise.

In 1991, during Russia’s economic transition, he co-founded Link, one of the first joint-stock companies in the region. As Vice President, he managed investments and oversaw the company’s foreign economic activities, gaining experience in strategic planning and international trade.

In 1994, Mr. Fishelev joined the Japanese trading company Mitsui & Co. Ltd., and  since 1995 he led its regional office in Yekaterinburg. He coordinated trade operations across multiple industrial sectors, bridging Russian manufacturers with global partners and acquiring extensive experience in international business and cross-cultural management.

In 2000, he founded Unimatic, a company providing industrial equipment and engineering services to the machine-building industry. Under his leadership, Unimatic expanded its presence across Russia and the CIS, establishing partnerships with international technology suppliers and becoming a key regional player.

In 2018, Igor Fishelev transferred ownership and operational control of Unimatic to his son, Oleg. Since then, he has focused on mentoring and supporting technology startups, applying his experience to foster innovation and development within the tech sector.
