Week four NFL action will get started a little early this Sunday. If you are on the East Coast, you will be getting up for 9:30 am this week because we have some football across the pond. The Indianapolis Colts will be flying over the London to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars, who will serve as the proverbial home team.

Neither team has started their season the way they would have liked. The Colts are 1-2 after picking up a 26-22 victory over the injury-depleted San Diego Chargers at home. Meanwhile, the Jaguars are still winless, suffering their third loss of the young season a week ago in a close one to the Baltimore Ravens, 19-17.

So needless to say, both clubs have not lived up to their expectations this season. The Jaguars were supposed to have an extremely impressive young offense. Blake Bortles has yet to get things going this season. Chris Ivory has been plagued by injuries. Allen Robinson has been hot and cold. But this is their chance to break up. The Colts have no defense. In three games, they have given up 39, 34 and 26 points. So on average, they are giving up 33 points a game. Given the offensive weapons the Jags possess, this is the week they will step up if they are ever going to.

The Colts have their own fair share of offensive weapons, but they are also hurting a bit. Star wide receiver is dealing with what’s seen as a minor knee issue. Quarterback Andrew Luck has a sore right shoulder, which is worth monitoring given his offensive line is not exactly the best at keeping him off the ground and he dealt with shoulder issues last season. Speedster Donte Moncrief is out a few weeks with a fractured scapula. And the Jags defensive, who have not been stellar this year, do have some solid young pieces.

All in all, I have more faith in the Jags defense making a play when needed. If the Jaguars let me down again this week, as I am still riding some preseason confidence in this offense, I will have much less faith going forward. But getting points and on the hunt for their first win against a team with zero defense is a great chance for them to put a W on the board.
