1. What inspired you to participate in the Miss Teen Universe UK pageant?

Ms. Christina Chalk, our Miss Universe Great Britain, inspired me heavily to join this
pageant specifically. I saw her journey to the crown, which was 8 years in the making.
I saw her compete in the Philippines and then tried again in the UK and finally won. It
gave me hope, because I have a similar story. I competed in the Philippines and
gave it my all, but didnt take home the crown. When I discovered Miss Teen Universe
UK, it felt like a sign from God, because I actually wanted to take a break for a while.
However, God didn’t let me lose that dream and everyone whom I love encouraged
me to join.– Because of Christina’s hopeful story and the encouragement of my
loved ones, I stepped forward and took the risk to compete.

2. Canyoudescribe your most memorable moment from the South Africa
competition?

The most memorable moment from Miss Teen Universe 2024 in South Africa was
enjoying with all the girls, especially during the safari trip. I’ve created life-long
friendships and memories I’ll never forget with them, especially with my 2 best friends
I made along the way, who I still talk to now, Trishna (India) and Leynin (Cuba).

3. How do you plan to utilize your platform to promote education and
empowerment for young girls?

I plan to utilize my platform by creating fundraisers, campaigns and activities. For
education, I plan to do seminar talks to raise the importance and also show them how
I am focused with my education, because being a Queen means having quality goals
outside of pageantry too. I also plan to do donation drives in rural areas to encourage
and give them a sense of hope and motivation to do well in their academics, because
everyone deserves a good education and a bright future. As for empowerment, I’ve
actually already started by firstly sharing my story and being that representation, and
secondly starting my own Pageant Training Service (Beauty & Beyond), wherein I
train young women to be the empowered beautiful queens they have always destined
to be.

4. What values do you believe align with the Miss Teen Universe UK title?

I believe that my values of resilience and passion align with the Miss Teen Universe
UK title. This is because, to be a Miss Teen Universe UK, you must stand strong
amidst the chaos. Being in pageantry is not easy and at times you will feel shaken,
but what’s important is that you rise from the ashes and remain resilient, even when
the challenges keep going uphill, because when you overcome the uphill battle, the
destination will always be worth it and with the passion in your heart it’ll give you a
reason to keep you going.

5. How do you balance your studies/career with your responsibilities as Miss
Teen Universe UK?

I manage to balance my studies with my responsibilities as Miss Teen Universe UK
by prioritizing and time management. I believe that education will always come first
and with proper time management I have been able to both thrive in pageantry and
academia. It has been hard, however, I love what I do and that’s what motivates me
to stay organized and keep on track with everything. I may be Miss Teen Universe
UK, but I still find the time to be a normal teenager and live in the moment.

6. What do you think sets the UK apart from other countries, and how will you
showcase this during your reign?

I believe that the UK’s diversity sets us apart from other countries. I truly stand by the
fact that living in a multicultural country has fostered growth for the people and
nation. As for my reign, I strive to promote global understanding and with the
multicultural setting we live in, it’s already something I put into use everyday. Through
this, I can teach people that global understanding begets respect, a major factor that
contributes to acceptance which creates unity.

7. Howhasyour life changed since being crowned Miss Teen Universe UK?

My life has changed drastically since being crowned Miss Teen Universe UK. I have
discovered many things about myself and learnt so much in the process. My journey
so far has given me the opportunity to meet new people and establish new
connections that have made my reign worthwhile. Having this crown, also means
bearing the responsibilities that come with it. These responsibilities, especially being
the role model and representation for younger girls, has resonated with me deeply. I
take it into heart everywhere I go, whether on or off the stage.

8. What role do you think social media plays in promoting positivity and
self-acceptance?

I believe that social media is a great way of promoting positivity and self-acceptance,
because people have platforms to share their authentic selves. As it has had
drawbacks in the past, social media is finally moving forward in a more inclusive and
accepting setting. People can see representation of different body types, ethnicities
and personalities. This representation is so important, because it makes people feel
as if they are not alone and their individuality matters.

9. What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned from your experience so far?

The most important lesson I’ve learned from my experience so far is to worry less
and trust God’s process. Being in pageantry, I’ve had my doubts and fears. I’ve had
my fair share of tears being shed, however, the moment I let go of those thoughts
and trusted God’s plan for me, everything felt secure. I learnt that no matter the
result, God put me in this situation for a reason and He would never give me
something I wouldn’t be able to handle. Fast forward to now, I may not have brought
the international win home, but I believe God put it in my heart that I’ve already won
through the journey itself and the people supporting me along the way.

10. Where do you see yourself in five years, and how will your experience as Miss Teen Universe UK influence your future endeavors?

5 years from now, I see myself already graduated from University and working
towards my goal to be a successful CEO in the Health and Nutrition Industry. In
addition to that I see myself preparing for a major pageant. I believe that Miss Teen
Universe UK made my love of pageantry grow even more, because of the whole
experience. It has influenced my pageantry dreams to aim higher, because as long
as I work hard, remain resilient and trust God I’ll be able to achieve greater heights,
in both my career and pageant life
