[dropcap]A[/dropcap]fter recently celebrating her 29th birthday Saturday, Megan Fox is not only as hot as ever, but still one of Hollywood’s biggest stars.

Thanks to her role as April O’Neill in the Michael Bay-directed 90’s reboot, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Fox continues to be a box office draw, as it would gross $485 million worldwide despite negative reviews.

For someone who is so maligned by critics and fans, it is the married mother of two in Fox, who ends up getting the last laugh by starring in some of the biggest summer blockbusters over the last decade in Transformers and Transformers : Revenge of the Fallen as Mikaela Barnes.

Combined with TMNT and her two Transformers movies, Fox helped bring in $2.030 billion worldwide. Not bad for such a “bad” actress.  Yes, sex sells, and fans who have seen her on the covers of men’s magazines such as MAXIM, FHM and Rolling Stones may have helped, there is still no denying the power of her sex appeal.

While some roles in forgettable movies such as Jennifer’s Body, Jonah Hex have added to the constant malaise, if there is a summer blockbuster that calls for a sexy and edgy female lead with lots of explosions and minimal clothing, make no mistake that Fox is on the speed-dial of every Hollywood director.

And fans will flock to the theater to see her in droves.

Is she up there with the likes of Jennifer Lawrence and Scarlett Johanesson? In terms of acting, No, in terms of sexiness, that is a resounding yes. Loved by fanboys and hated by both their significant others and critics, Fox has stood both the test of time and criticism.

While her comments about working with Bay being like Hitler, caused her to be dropped from Transformers: Dark of the Moon, it seems that time has healed all wounds, as she is set to return in the TMNT sequel, Half Shell.  Set to appear in the upcoming comedy-drama, Zeroville directed by James Franco and starring Seth Rogen, Danny McBride and Will Farrell, it seems that Fox is finally branching out more as an actress and into some non-blockbuster roles.

While she isn’t running for cover from alien robots or ninja, no doubt that Fox will steal a few scenes, as she is—and will forever be—one of Hollywood’s leading blockbuster babes.
