Milwaukee Bucks found themselves on national television hosting the John Wall-less Washington Wizards. Wizards coming off of a huge win against Philly on Sunday. However, Milwaukee last outing an emotional overtime loss to New Orleans earlier that day.

Weather as perfect as it gets for a February day in Milwaukee, but inside the BMO Harris Bradley Center it was raining threes. Wizards came out of the locker on fire. Porter gets a three, Beal gets a three, everyone gets a three. Wizards would hit six of their first seven behind the arc in the contest. Starting the game 14-0 on the scoreboard. Jason Kidd nowhere to be found. Milwaukee hit their share of reality. Fell to 40-22 after the first. Yes, that’s 40 in one period!

In the second period, it became more competitive. As the game would go back and forth with no team really taking control at any point until late in the quarter. Bucks went on a little 5-0 run to close the quarter, but still found themselves down 64-50.

On the Players Only TNT telecast, C-Webb would ask something to the tune of, “What’s the problem with the Bucks then? I mean I thought Jason Kidd was the problem.” Perfectly answered by Baron Davis, “They have too much equal talent and not enough playmaking ability… they don’t have a glue guy… they have to find somebody else in Parker or Brogdon to come in and kind of feel that space and be that playmaker. You don’t have to score the points, but that added energy gets more rebounds, assists.”

The key to the first half was the Wizards making shots over 50% of them. Bucks did not have the same fortune hitting theirs. Like the Bucks last outing against the Pelicans a double-digit lead would be walked down in the third. Wizards were off and forcing a lot. On the other hand, Milwaukee slowed the pace and got their shots up. After being down by 18 at the end of the first Bucks found themselves down only three to end the third.

Last period was much like the second, back and forth. Milwaukee could pull to within one, but never pull ahead. Matter of fact, they didn’t lead all game. Late in the game Giannis dialed up a fade away shot for the tie, but missed it. Second game in a row in which he missed a fade away shot at a big time. Eventually, Bradley Beal found himself on the line shooting two with 0.8 seconds left. Hit only the second one making it a three-point game. Coach Prunty would draw something up, but Bledsoe couldn’t get the shot off, Wizards win.

Player of the game for the Bucks has to be Jabari Parker. Having 19 on ten shots was incredible. 2/3 behind the ark, he looked really good. Bright spot in the game and as the season moves forward.
