Mike Zimmer stated that Sam Bradford has earned the starting nod to begin 2017 as Teddy continues with his rehab on his recovery.

Adrian Peterson has an upcoming cap hit of 18 million for the 2017 season. Adrian has already expressed interest in retiring with the Minnesota Vikings. He has previously stated that he’d be willing to take a pay cut to stay in Minnesota. None of the 18 million is guaranteed. However, he is owed a 6 million dollar roster bonus after the new league year begins in March. Many people have asked the question if Adrian Peterson is coming back next year. Mike Zimmer stated that Adrian is under contract however Rick Spielman will reevaluate the salary cap side of things.

NFL Draft. With no first round pick this year due to the trade for Sam Bradford, the Minnesota Vikings will have their first selection in the second round. There are a couple question marks that need to be addressed. The needs start at the depth of the offensive line, or the possible replacements of Adrian Peterson or Chad Greenway. A couple options include Dan Feeney an offensive guard from Indiana or D’onta Foreman a running back from Texas. Rick Spielman has been known to make a trade to get back into the first round, there are two extra picks from the Miami Dolphins.
