Before the 2017 season started, several writers at The Inscriber put together two way too early awards prediction articles, for both the American League and the National League. Now that the season is all of two months in, it’s time for an update. If the season ended today, who walks away with the prestigious Major League Baseball awards? Which pitchers are deserving of the coveted Cy Young Award? Which rookies stand out above the rest, and will walk away with the Rookie of the Year honors? Is there a clear-cut manager that deserves Manager of the Year? And who will be given the most prestigious of them all, the Most Valuable Player award? Let’s jump right into these slightly less early awards predictions.
