Oh it is good to be an MLB fan right now. Over the course of the last week, the moves have started to come in waves. The dominoes have begun to fall, with Yoenis Cespedes being the biggest name to move thus far this winter, as he re-signed with the New York Mets on a four year deal. But that is just the start of all of the fun, as now the Winter Meetings have arrived!

The Winter Meetings are hands down the best few days of the long winter months for a baseball fan. Over the course of these days, rumors will fly, and possibilities will be born. A trade you never thought was possible will start to become a very realistic possibility. A player could sign with a mystery team, which turns out to be a team that came out of nowhere. The fun comes with all of the different ideas that come out in reports, some of which come to fruition.

Yesterday saw a handful of moves. The Toronto Blue Jays and Steve Pearce kicked things off with an early morning two year deal. Then the San Francisco Giants made a splash by landing on of the big three closers, Mark Melancon. The best free agent starting pitcher Rich Hill returned to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Also the Philadelphia Phillies landed reliver Joaquin Benoit. But questions remain.

Will the Washington Nationals really land Chris Sale? Where will Aroldis Chapman sign? Who will Edwin Encarnacion sign with? How about Ian Desmond and Dexter Fowler? Could the Marlins emerge as a true threat to either Kenley Jansen? The next few days will tell us a lot to help answer questions like these, plus answer a whole bunch of them.
