If anyone were to design an “I’m with stupid” t-shirt that pointed to the person next to them AND themselves, Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne would be the most appropriate people to wear them. Even then they’d likely stand on the wrong side of each other when they did.
Twenty years ago, Peter and Bobby Farrelly introduced the world to a pair of loveable morons, Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne, in the movie Dumb and Dumber. These well-meaning dim-wits made a cross-country trek to return a brief case to its lovely owner…and so that Lloyd could also try to make a play for her affections.
Flash forward 20 years – Harry Dunne finds out that he may have a daughter. Lloyd gets one glimpse of the girl who may indeed be Harry’s daughter and becomes instantly smitten.
Well that settles it, they have to go find her…or at least Lloyd is convinced they need to. Is it just me or does this sound like a catastrophe waiting to happen? Yep…I knew I wasn’t alone.
In any case, Harry and Lloyd fuel up the Mutt Cutts shaggin’ wagon for another cross-country haul. One that will likely be full of just as many mishaps or possibly more than any person should have to endure…except for them of course.
The Farrelly Brothers return to direct this movie, that they also wrote with help from Sean Anders, John Morris, Bennett Yellin, and Mike Cerrone.
Dumb and Dumber To stars Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels and also features: Laurie Holden, Rob Riggle, Rachel Melvin, Kathleen Turner, Steve Tom, Brady Bluhm, and even Bill Murray makes a cameo appearance.
