INSCMagazine: Get Social!

If you didn’t know who Ashley Madison was before yesterday, you sure know her now.

Thanks to an epic hack that revealed the names of adulterers, spouses from all over have some extra closet space this morning. AshleyMadison.com is a website for cheating spouses to hook up with one another.

If the hack wasn’t entertaining enough, we learned of one very famous, holier than thou Christian who frequented the site – Joshua Duggar. This story is spreading faster than wildfire and has Twitter users tweeting with glee.

Why are people so amused by the outing of Mr. Duggar? Well to put it simply, he spent plenty of time sitting on his throne preaching about how homosexuals are ruining the sanctity of marriage. Oh really?! We’ll expect an apology from him soon to the LGBT community. We’ll wait…

The hypocrisy is thick amongst this family. They’ve been so quick to judge others and point their fingers when they have a true problem in their own family. Yes, no one is perfect and every one makes mistakes and blah blah blah, all the typical BS we are so used to hearing from uptight conservatives when one of their own is involved in a major scandal.

Second verse, same as the first: Pray it away, ask God for forgiveness, seek therapy, apologize to the wife and claim it was a moment of weakness, yada yada yada.

Can we talk about his poor wife, Anna for a second? We all wait in eager anticipation to see if she can stand by her man through this mess. She accepted him as a child molester (that’s right, he molested his sisters for anyone living under a rock) but will she be able to handle this new scandal?

I could buy that EXCEPT that his paid subscription began back in February of 2013, well before the molestation scandal news broke, and continued through May of 2015. Also, he spent nearly $1,000 to find someone as nasty as himself. That amount of money does not go unnoticed.

Now, here’s another interesting twist to the story: in the leaked information we see that Duggar used the email address joesmithsonwa@gmail.com. Upon some research, some clever person discovered that name linked to an Ok Cupid profile.

Check it out for yourself but this dude has some explaining to do.

In a recently released statement Thursday from the Duggar’s family website, Joshua admitted that he was a hypocrite and was unfaithful to his wife,

I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife.

I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him.

I brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions that happened when I was 14-15 years old, and now I have re-broken their trust.

The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our country, I was hiding my own personal failings.

As I am learning the hard way, we have the freedom to choose to our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences. I deeply regret all hurt I have caused so many by being such a bad example.

I humbly ask for your forgiveness. Please pray for my precious wife Anna and our family during this time.

Josh Duggar”

So I’ll leave you with this, if Mr. Christianity himself is capable of cheating, what makes you so sure that your Mr. Perfect won’t cheat.? I know I ruffled some feathers with my previous blog, but listen, cheating is real. This is real life and it’s high time we start acknowledging it because if we don’t, we’ll be the Anna Duggars of the world.
