The start of the 2016-17 NBA season has been great for many teams but a few disappointments as well. There was money to be spent this offseason and while some of the choices made have yielded great results there are some that have yet to proven right.

But to be fair to some teams, it wasn’t all about the money. Players moved left and right, but teams right on the brink of busting out decided to stand still and go all in figuring what they needed was another season as a unit to jell.

Man, were they wrong.

The Minnesota Timberwolves has a decision to make they should’ve made as soon as last season ended. They must find a trade partner for Ricky Rubio. The skills are there, minus a perimeter game but for a starting PG who plays 30+minutes a game to average only five points is ludacris.

Kris Dunn is the future for the Wolves at the point and if he’s to blossom in that role the Wolves must get rid of Rubio. There are teams like the Philadelphia 76ers that could use a PG but the Wolves must make a decision fast before the season gets away from them any further than it already has.

There are NBA Trade Rumors sources from The Inquisitr that there is friction between the New Orleans Pelicans and their star player, Anthony Davis. They have gone as far as to say there could be talks between the Knicks and Pelicans surrounding a possible trade between the two teams. The deal will involve Kristaps Porzingis and Derrick Rose. While this is just a rumor, part of it has legs. Just last week, Yahoo Sports brought up the subject of Davis’s frustration with the team’s play. At the time the Pelicans were 0-4, now they sit at 0-6.

I’ve started myself this offseason that Davis will look to distance himself if proper moves were not made to upgrade the talent around him. Davis is a bonafide star and the Knicks would love to have him but they cannot afford to get him without giving up half the roster like they did with Carmelo Anthony.

Rudy Gay trade talks have quieted down lately but that doesn’t mean he’s off the market. The Portland Trail Blazers seem to be the perfect fit but Portland will stand pat until at least the trade deadline to see how desperate the Kings are.
