The NCAA tournament is set, brackets have been revealed!

Playing in the first game of the tournament we have, LIU Brooklyn Vs. Radford. Many times these games don’t get attention. The teams are playing for a 16 seed in the tournament. These two teams on the other hand, are lead by two really good basketball players.

LIU Brooklyn has senior Joel Hernandez leading their team. This guy can score and in bunches as well. He’s averaging just under 21 points a game and gets his from anywhere on the court. He’s a player that can be a solid player for any team in the nation. He plays hard on both ends of the court.

Meanwhile, Radford is lead by junior Ed Polite Jr. His last name is Polite, but his game is mean. Progressing a lot from his freshman year. If he could find that almost double-double he averaged last year, which makes Radford a force against anyone.

Both of these guys have great play styles, which can’t be denied. Joel provides that great guard play, which is the number one thing a team needs in March. See LIU taking this game and joining the field of 64.

The same day, guard vs guard… Aaron Holiday and UCLA take on Jaylen Adams lead St Bonaventure team.

These two guards are as good as any guards in the nation. This game is big because it sets up another good guard matchup against Chris Chiozza and the Florida Gators.

In these situations it’s easy to pick the bigger school, but St. Bonaventure is overlooked. Best believe Jaylen Adams will lead his team in his final year to a victory. Adams has a good chance to do the same against Florida.

Texas Southern against North Carolina Central provides an interesting dynamic. Does the big man matter more than the guard play? In this case Texas Southern has it checked off because they have both.

Raasean Davis is not going to be stopped, but Trayvon Reed will do his best job to contain him. Reed is a huge guy, which will take its toll on Davis.

Texas Southern will move on to live another day.

The last game of the four features Syracuse Vs. Arizona State.

This matchup will provide a lot of good matchups through the course. This could be Tyus Battle/Tra Holder, Romello White/Oshae Brissett, Frank Howard even matched up on Holder too. This will be a very interesting dynamic to watch.

Battle for #11 will be a toss up, but my best guess would be Syracuse. They are more tested and play better defense.

Predictions:

LIU Brooklyn

St Bonaventure

Texas Southern

Syracuse
