For the first time in over a year, many have gathered in the nation’s media and fashion capital to see the hottest new looks, designers, models and freshest new faces to watch for. In the midst of a global pandemic that has killed over 650,000 in the United States, and 4.6 million worldwide, a much-maligned U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan and the 20th anniversary of 9/11, emotions in the Big Apple are high and the atmosphere is intense.

Thankfully, the return of NYFW—as well as the Met Gala, and notable A-listers such as Paris Hilton, Sarah Paulson, Megan Fox, Alicia Silverstone, Katie Holmes, Kylie and Kendall Jenner wearing their best—at various Fashion Week runway shows and parties, as well as A-list models such as Anna Alimani, offered some much-needed respite, and a well-time distraction.
