On Monday Night, two teams from very similar types of divisions will play. The Cincinnati Bengals head to Metlife Stadium and play the New York Giants. As of this writing, the Bengals are on the outside looking in regarding where they stand for the playoffs. On the other hand, the New York Giants sit as the Wild Card leader and currently hold the fifth seed in the NFC.

Let us first look at the New York Giants. They are coming into this game with a record of 5-3 and are currently leading the Wild Card for the NFC. They are also entering this game on a three-game winning streak with wins over the Ravens, Rams in London, and the Eagles. Before this winning streak, the Giants were playing poorly, and it seemed like it was going to be another long season for the Giants. However, over the last few weeks has seen players on both sides of the ball pick their game up.

A great example of this is to look at safety London Collins, who since the Giants have started to play well has picked up his overall game. I talked about in the preseason how the Giants have a somewhat easy schedule coming up.

After they play the Bengals on Monday night, the Giants next two opponents are the Chicago Bears and the Cleveland Browns. They have a combined record of 2-16, and they should be easy wins for the Giants. However, in the NFL, anything can happen. But I am looking for the Giants to honestly stick to the same gameplan that they have had over the last few weeks and continue to beat the teams that they need to. If Dallas does so happen to slip up coming up, the Giants can take the NFC East.

On the other hand, you have the Cincinnati Bengals. They are coming into this game with a record of 3-4-1 and are unfortunately towards the bottom of the pack in the AFC. However, Bengals fans should not be alarmed as your team is only a game behind in the AFC North and are two games back of the AFC Wild Card. The Bengals are coming into this game coming off a tie with the Redskins that happened in London. If you are the Bengals, I would try and get AJ Green the ball as often as possible as he is one of the team’s biggest threats. I would also like to make a note that the Bengals are 1-0 this season at Metlife Stadium as they defeated the Jets earlier this season.
