Week twelve will provide the only team in the NFL without a win another chance to finally put one in the win column. The New York Giants will travel to Ohio where they will get to take on the 0-11 Cleveland Browns. The Giants are coming off a come from behind win against the Chicago Bears in week 11. The Browns, as you probably guessed, lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers at home by a score of 24-9.

Don’t look now but the Giants are riding a nice five game winning streak. Their last loss came all the way back in week five when the Green Bay Packers were not playing like total crap. The team has been winning more so because of their offense as opposed to their defense of late. They have been over 20 points in the last three games, all of which came after their bye. Eli Manning has an array of options in the passing game, and rookie Sterling Shepard has been a fun guy to watch. Now they are going to have to win by over a touchdown this week, and they are on the road. It is by no means a lock, so do not simply go with the Giants because the Browns are win-less.

But they are the Browns. They are like the 49ers, in that whenever I pick them, they get blown out. And when I pick against them, they hang in there. But in recent weeks, they have not hung within a touchdown. The last time the team was within a touchdown of their opponent was week eight against the New York Jets. But the Giants are hands down better than the Jets, so that is not saying much.

So as much as I want to say the Browns here, I think of all the times they have burned me this season. I am not in love with the Giants this week, as they are due for a loss. But I simply cannot bring myself to say Cleveland here, so by default I am going with New York.
