Kevin Love Withdraws From FIBA World Cup Because of Trade Talks: the subject of mounting trade talks involving the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors, Minnesota Timberwolves power forward, Kevin Love withdrew from playing in the up-coming FIBA World Cup basketball tournament on Saturday, per media reports.

Love, 25, averaged 26.2 points and 12.1 rebounds for the Timberwolves in 2013-14, and has reportedly told other teams that if he traded to them, that he will not re-sign with them and only play in Cleveland.

Packers WR Jordy Nelson Inks New 4-Year $39 Million Extension: After emerging as the No.1 wideout in Green Bay, following Greg Jennings defection to the rival Minnesota Vikings, Jordy Nelson signed a new four-year contract extension worth $39 million with $11.1 million guaranteed, according to media reports.

Nelson, a six-year veteran out of Kansas State, posted career highs in catches (85) and receiving yards (1,314) and eight touchdowns.

For his career-all with the Packers—Nelson has 4,590 receiving yards and 36 touchdowns.

Jake Peavy Dealt To Giants: Per media reports, the Boston Red Sox dealt struggling right-hander, Jake Peavy (1-9, 4.72 ERA) to the San Francisco Giants for minor league prospects in right-hander Heath Hembree and left-hander  Edwin Escobar. San Francisco and Boston will both split the remaining five million owed to Peavy.
