Obama Signs Bipartisan Budget Deal – After months of political gridlock and a two-week government shutdown, President Barack Obama signed a bi-partisan budget deal.  The new budget agreement passed thru the Democrat-controlled Senate, 64-36, and the Republican-controlled Congress, 332-94.

With the deal being reached, spending for the fiscal year is set at $1.014 trillion, which represents an increase of up to $45 billion in one year and $63 billion over two years. The new budget also reduces across-the-board cuts and includes a projected $85 billion in savings.
