Masahiro Tanaka Posted By Rakuten : After initially deciding not to post their top pitcher in Mashiro Tanaka, the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles posted the right-handed ace, per media reports.

Tanaka, 25, went 24-0 with an ERA of 1.27. A seven-year veteran of Japan’s Pacific League, MLB teams can negotiate with Tanaka, must meet the $20 million release clause to secure his services. The New York Yankees, Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers and newly crowned World Series champion Boston Red Sox are rumored to be interested.

Cowboys Sign Ex-QB Kitna : With Tony Romo ailing from a back injury, the Dallas Cowboys signed former backup, Jon Kitna.  According to media reports, Romo received an epidural injection and could play in the Cowboys season finale against the Philadelphia Eagles.  Kitna, 41, last played for Dallas in 2011 and was coaching high school football in Tacoma before returning to the Cowboys.

If Romo cannot start on Sunday, Kyle Orton will step under center with Kitna serving as the primary backup.
